There's a lot to be said for long-term partnerships in the Childcare business, as in nearly any field. More intimate relations, a comfortable working relationship, and potential legacy benefits are all incentives for sticking with firms with which one's business has been involved for some time. Yet not all such partnerships are entirely healthy, and this is particularly true when it comes to CCMS-certified solutions for Childcare centres. As technology has become increasingly complex –yet has also created increasing opportunities--, the solutions offered by some Childcare application developers are simply no longer relevant, and fail to truly take advantage of modern technological assets to help clients meet their needs and realize unexpected benefits.

Have you ever taken a look at a CCMS-certified solution only to be completely perplexed by arcane pricing schedules and strange membership level structures? You're not alone. While smart software for Childcare businesses generally claims to focus on simplifying things for its users, too many producers miss the mark when it comes to offering a fee structure that makes sense. From enormous establishment fees and mystifying membership level titles to a litany of asterisks and special notes about exceptions and special policies, figuring out how much a solution costs can sometimes seem like more work than it's worth.

ACECQ has released their lastest newsletter. As usual, there is informative information about the Natoinal Quality Standards. When reading through the latest issue, I was particulary interested in the section about Nominated Supervisors requirements -being present at a centre-based service. It would appear that there still some confusion around this topic in the industry at the moment.

Stress is a natural part of running any business, and in the Childcare Industry, it can be an especially prevalent part of everyday operation. Tending to children and ensuring that their needs are met is a considerable task, and even with years of training, Childcare professionals may sometimes feel overwhelmed with stress at the workplace. One area in which stress shouldn't crop up, however, is business management. Though feeling drained and under pressure are common experiences among professionals in nearly every field, the effects can be devastating for productivity –not to mention job satisfaction. Stress experienced when trying to make sense of compliance issues, learn new software, perform accounting tasks, and otherwise administrating a Childcare business can easily make handling the other aspects of business a chore, which means finding ways to cut back on office stress is crucial.

Of the many sources of lost profits that tend to plague Childcare businesses, administrative costs can be some of the most significant. Interestingly enough, they're also some of the most unnecessary, though some Childcare centres spend years figuring this out. While some degree of administrative cost is certain to come into play for a business no matter its attention to efficiency and smart tools, most businesses can easily minimise their current costs by working with the right services. Childcare centres that have been in operation for more than a couple of months are certain to recognise the ability of payment complications to enter into the administrative costs picture, as ensuring that clients pay in full and on time can be a major hassle for staff.

Childcare businesses that have had negative or cumbersome experiences with operational software in the past may shudder to imagine the implementation of a new package, but with Kidsoft's offerings based in the convenient environment of the cloud, there's no need to shy away from the advantages. Our cloud-based software helps Childcare centres access their data and conduct business from any computer or mobile device connected to the internet, simplifying connection issues and allowing efficient work to be done even when workers are away from the office. There aren't any complex software packages to install or expensive hardware units to maintain, a benefit that has helped many centres cut significantly back on their regular IT costs.

With the growth and enrichment of young people's lives at center stage, thinking about the competitive landscape of today's Childcare Industry may require a bit of a paradigm shift, but nevertheless, this consideration is important for successful centres. Though the Industry as a whole may be more compact than in recent years, it remains fairly large and presents operators with a diverse collection of potential points for competition, helping to encourage better performance and stronger business practices among participants. Currently, the Industry is experiencing a low market share concentration, along with a competitive need to access potential clients easily and effectively. Compliance with government regulations is, of course, an ever-present issue, as well.

Through helping Childcare providers stay organized, plan effectively, meaningfully store and manipulate data, and review progress, a great CCMS solution contributes not only to the success of a business, but of the children it serves, as well. Our most important goal for Kidsoft has long been the creation of a solution capable of delivering these benefits to Childcare providers in a way that fully takes advantage of today's mobile technology and development standards. We couldn't be more pleased to move forward with this goal, as we will be offering the new CCMS-Certified Kidsoft learning framework module.

Running a Childcare business well means having the diligence and strength to consistently deliver quality supervision and education, but the right people and principles aren't the only requirements. Cash flow is also an important issue, and too often, Childcare centres are left juggling complex cash flow problems because of late-paying parents and complex, frustrating payment-processing services. As the availability of funds can have a profound impact on a centre's ability to operate, ensuring that bills are paid in full and on time and that payments are accessible as quickly as possible should be a major priority for Childcare Centres.

At the heart of any successful Childcare business is an earnest desire to work with children and to give them the care and resources necessary to thrive. Yet a Childcare business must also pay close attention to issues of profitability, which allows it to secure and sustain quality employees, improve facilities and services, and move forward with new technologies and other advances that appear in the Industry. Staying profitable is nevertheless one of the most difficult challenges that Childcare centres face, and if left unchecked, this challenge can ultimately lead to a need to slash costs or even shut down entirely. Principal concerns affecting profitability issues for Childcare centres include the large presence of not-for-profit businesses in the sector as well as difficulties in maintaining compliance with regulations stipulating that centres retain high numbers of well-qualified staff.
